I first purchased Rohde's guide for the Technician Class license, and found it so quick and simple that I bought this book, studied it, and passed both exams on the same day. The book's study process is straightforward and effective, and as the author points out, your time is better spent by getting licensed and learning through experience than it is by poring through chapter after chapter on theory.The book has 100% of the General Class exam questions, in exactly the way they are worded on the exam, with the exact answers that you will see on the exam. Do as the author suggests, and first study the questions with the right AND wrong answers listed. After all, seeing only the right answer is not very helpful when that answer is, "All of these answers are correct." Once reasonably proficient, you can then move on to studying the questions with only the right answers listed. This is similar to using flash cards.The process is quick and effective. I'm not an excellent test taker, but I passed both exams on my first try, missing one question on each. I spent probably 4 days on each book beforehand.
I bought this after buying the technician book by the same author, I found this will give you the answers and you can look up on the internet anything you have questions about. I passed the technician and general class tests at the same time.I missed only 1 question on both tests.
I like the feature of just having the correct answers, but the regular study part does not give you the correct answer, it just lists all the possible choices, I would like to see the correct answer along with the incorrect answers...if this in incorrect please let me know...
Great study guide. It teaches you the answers, but not much in theory. If you're a solid operator, this book will have you passing your general in no time.
I am still using it. I really liked the Tech version that helped me pass the test.
