I am beginning my student teaching and thought this book would be helpful for my new experience. I have read other education books in the past and just completed my education for my early childhood bachelors. Already 100 pages into the book and I am not impressed! It seems like I read 90 pages of new teacher complaints and failures but almost nothing on tips. The things I wanted to learn such as classroom management, classroom design and how to best prepare for day 1, have not yet appeared in this book. Would not recommend
You know what is awesome? I had to read this stupid book in grad school...just finished my first year of teaching and didn't think about this book at all. 1/10 avoid at all costs.
Aimed at elementary and middle school teachers. Not great for high school.
